The Game Awards, l’evento che premia i videogiochi migliori del 2020, ha svelato i vincitori di tutte le categorie in un evento interamente digitale e ha fregiato del titolo di Gioco dell’Anno il successo mondiale The Last of Us Parte II. Questo titolo di Naughty Dog è riuscito a sbaragliare la concorrenza portandosi a casa ben 8 premi (contando anche quello di Best Performance all’attrice Laura Bailey).
Oltre le nomination di Animal Crossing: New Horizons a Game of the Year e di Pokémon Café Mix nella categoria mobile, Nintendo ha ottenuto il premio come miglior gioco per famiglie proprio con l’ultimo capitolo di Animal Crossing che ha conquistato milioni di giocatori quest’anno.
